Som frivillig yder du et tilbud til patienter eller pårørende ud over de professionelle tilbud fra hospitalet. Det kan fx være samtaler, at gå en tur eller hente ting i kiosken. Det kan også være som besøgsven for patienter uden netværk eller med pårørende der kommer langvejs fra. Du kan fx sidde hos en patient og læse højt af aviser eller blade og være med til at hygge om patienterne ved fællesspisning. Frivillige hjælper også til som bisiddere, underholder børn, udlåner bøger m.m.
Requirements:
Alle frivillige skal have et kursus i hygiejne, etik, kommunikation og underskrive en tavshedspligt.

Providing Shelter and Rescue Home to Animals

Today's need for the suffering stray animals is a shelter over their head and humane control over their increasing population. This is met to a certain extent by Karuna Animal Shelter cum Rescue Home at Veterinary College Campus, Hebbal, Bangalore - 24. This shelter accommodates about 400 animals of different species of any one time.
FACILITIES : Equipped with Operation Theater, Examination Room,
42 kennels, 5 open kennels, 1 Puppy section, Large Animal Sheds, Dog run, Aviary, Cattery, Retired Police Dogs Section, Shelter Facility for other animals.
