Krupa Loving Animals is located in Kengeri, Bangalore. Krupa's Mission is to help animals in distress, by means of care, medical treatment, boarding and rehabilitation. Krupa currently does not run an ambulance service. To avail of Krupa's services, people will need to bring the animal to Krupa for treatment. Stray animals will be treated for free; owners of pet animals will be charged for treatment.

  • Providing Shelter and Rescue Home to Animals

    Today's need for the suffering stray animals is a shelter over their head and humane control over their increasing population. This is met to a certain extent by Karuna Animal Shelter cum Rescue Home at Veterinary College Campus, Hebbal, Bangalore - 24. This shelter accommodates about 400 animals of different species of any one time.

    FACILITIES : Equipped with Operation Theater, Examination Room, 
    42 kennels, 5 open kennels, 1 Puppy section, Large Animal Sheds, Dog run, Aviary, Cattery, Retired Police Dogs Section, Shelter Facility for other animals.

  • Ambulatory Services

    Ambulatory services are provided by KARUNA to pick up sick, injured, accident and disabled animals and they are shifted to Animal Shelter cum Rescue Home for treatment and necessary care. The Association has got well experienced Veterinary Doctors for conducting surgery, treatment and care of animals at the Animal Shelter.

With a capacity of 150 beds it offers completely free in-patient services to those in distress and those who are unable to access such services elsewhere due to poverty and destitution. Soon it will be a 1000 bed hospital. The hospital also offers out-patient services to hundreds of villagers living nearby. The out-patient services are totally free for the extremely poor and highly subsidized for those who have some paying capacity.

57 members, all of them retired helps kids in about eight schools and 1,500 children in all with a meal, shoes and clothes and the also have a  scholarship programmes for needy students. They do this both in Bangalore and in more rural areas. They also assist the elderly in the Humanitarina Hands Transit Home, set up by the Melwani Trust. In addition they do on occation set up wells and solarpanels.

They run the Prasanna free Couseling Center where a very experienced lady gives free advice and support between 6 to 8-30 P.M every day. Dr.Prameela gives psychiatric support everyday and is joined by Dr. C.R. chandrashekar on Wednesdays and by Dr. K.V. Kishore Kumar on Saturdays.

Nele Namma Mane provides shelter for children rescued from the streets or from abusive and neglectful parents. Many of the children are brought here by the police or social workers. There are 10 such homes in Bangalore and the rest of Karnataka. There is Nele Narendra (Mysore Road), Nele Niveditha (Ullal Main Road), Nele Premanjali (JP Nagar), Nele Chandana (Mamulpet), Nele Namma Mane (HBR Layout), and Nele Ashakirana (Bannerghatta Road). The four homes outside the city are Nele Dwaraka in Tumkur, Nele Ashrayadhama in Bagalkot, Nele Ajitha in Mysore and Nele Madhava in Shimoga.
