A volunteer is needed to help maintain this page with information about child soldiers, the global actors and innovative assistance.

Under international law, the recruitment and use of children under 15 is a war crime. It is optional if a country sees children under the age of 18 as child soldiers.

Child soldiers is most commonly used by militant dissident groups such as the LRA, FARC, ISIL, Boko Haram, al Quaida, etc. but they are also commonly used in government armies such as those in Yemen, South Sudan, Burma, Sudan and more. The United Kingdom also recruits and employs 16 year olds.
