Nyarugenge is one of the 3 districts in Kigali. According to Nyarugenges district website: "It has an area of 134 km2 with a population of 236,990. It is made up of 10 Sectors, 47 Cells and 355 quarters (Imidugudu). About 86 % of its surface is rural and little populated. Another part of the City, which is smaller, that is 14 %, is densely populated with 1500 inhabitants per km2". It is a vibrant area with many different people living peacefully together. The main problems are poverty, prostitution, exposed children, uncared for people with dissabilities and unemployment.
