Who Helps Refugees Fleeing in Denmark

Updated on Dec 22, 2016

In Denmark it is a punisable crime to assist refugees, if they try to get further up North to relatives in Sweden or Norway. You can still be lucky to meet someone willing to take a risk but it is a risk. Hitchhinking is not very normal though it can happen. One could ask people on site such as GoMore? Otherwise there are many shelters for homeless people - ckeck the homeless page for that. There are many "living under ground" who are often exploited with very low salaries. There is no help to so far to assist with decent jobs. If you seek advice Refugees Welcome is a good place to ask but there are also other local organizations, depending on where you are in Denmark. Check out the local page on integration.
