Children - Shinyanga

There is a problem with poverty in and child marriages in Shinyanga. Children under 18 are forced to marry and expelled from school when they become pregnant. Witch doctors and other traditional beliefs also have a negative impact. It is a region where children can be accused of witchcraft and where albinoes are chased and often hidden, so as not to be murdered for their skin, which witch doctors say have healing povers.
