The app. 25.000 volunteers are the core of Red Cross activities in Denmark. They work in 216 local divisions in the visit service or one of the many other locally adapted activities. The national office (landskontoret) coordinated national campagns and assist the local divisions. In addition we run several asylum centers and we send out app. 80 experts to assist the IFRC with disasters and depveopment or the ICRC who works in conflict and war-torn areas.
