PROJECT RWANDA

 

Project Rwanda currently operates with a small group of Board members who all donate their time and energy to the project. Donations are primarily used to support actual projects. Project Rwanda is primarily a goodwill, volunteer driven organization in the United States.

 

Actions

  • Construction and distribution of cargo bikes that are used for local’s jobs.
  • Coffee-bike program (transportation from farms to the washing station).
  • Increase awareness for Rwanda, the country and its people, as a tourism and cycling destination.
  • Team Rwanda bicycle team to promote national pride.
  • The film "Rising from Ashes".

 

 

Purpose/Mission Statement

  • "committed to furthering the economic development of Rwanda through initiatives based on the bicycle as a tool and symbol of hope. Our goal is use the bike to help boost the Rwandan economy as well as re-brand Rwanda as a beautiful and safe place to do business and visit freely". (Link).
