KIMISAGARA FOOTBALL FOR HOPE CENTER

 

Is run by Association des Jeunes Sportifs de Kigali - Kigalia Association of Youth Sports - ESPÉRANCE. The Esperance centre offers opportunities for between 150-200 children in the suburban district to take part in programmes and courses participate in theatre and, importantly, play football. The club has a team in Rwanda’s second division and APR’s Jean Claude Iranzi and SC Kiyovu’s Mwemere Girinshuti are the two products of this centre (Umupira).

Purpose/Mission Statement

  • The “Association des Jeunes Sportifs de Kigali – Espérance” uses sports – especially the method of “Football pour la Paix” – as a means to promote gender equality, conflict resolution, peace building processes, and HIV prevention (Espérace).
