Educat

Education Catalyst

Educat has started up as an NGO in Rwanda and Denmark, where it does fundraising. It aims to sell professional coaching services in Rwanda and thereby earn what it needs to help micro-entrepreneurs (such as street-vendors). It is lead by Andreas Nørlund who was inspired by the KAOS Pilot educational approch to entrepreneurship in Denmark.

Through training of trainers, specified coorporate coaching, and training of young entrepreneurs Educat plans to introduce entreprenurship education in Rwanda. The vision is a one-year diploma program. The training sessions cost a minimum fee as Educat wish to become a sustainable do-good-business, and to get away from the culture of dependcy on aid.

The youth in Rwanda needs to take their own initiative and create their own future. Educat wish to assist with this. In addition, Educat works closely with YES Rwanda to help young entrepreneurs set-up or expand their business, by building on the skills of the Rwandan youth.

Why Help Educat?

  • Educat has a sustainable policy towards development.
  • We help young Rwandan's who deserve a break.
  • Lack of employment means that the majority of Rwandans (the youth) needs to come up with their own ideas to get an income.
  • Many have not been taught how to believe in them selves and use thier skills. Often they need a little help to learn just to get started.
