Café Parasollen er alkoholfrit spise- og værested, der giver tilbud om omsorg og samvær, samt at støtte og hjælpe enhver med problemer, som selv ønsker at blive hjulpet gennem hjælp til selvhjælp. Der ydes omsorg, samvær, hjælp til selvhjælp, henvisning til andre hjælpeinstanser, billig og god mad, kreditordninger på mad, bad (gratis), tøjvask (20 kr. for en vask inkl. tørring i tumbler ), samtaler på forskellige niveauer, aktiviteter (se særskilt afsnit om dette), fester, klaver og guitarspil, kortspil, pc'er med internetadgang (gratis), traditioner samt respekt for forskelligheden.
